“This event was a huge success last year raising over $120,000 for the Connecticut Chapter,” said Dina Mariani, Deputy Executive Director of the Connecticut Chapter. “We are so thrilled that it’s now an annual event and that it’s already grown so much in such a short time!” Mariani also states that the event could not be possible with it’s sponsors: WebMD Health Foundation, Smilow Cancer Hospital – Greenwich Campus, Davenport Contracting, CT Information Security, Serendipity Magazine, Greenwich Girl, The Daily Voice, 95.9 the Fox, Star 99.9, and WSHU.

Teams are grouped based on whether they plan to walk or run, and teams that plan to compete to win are categorized at Kekoa (Hawaiian for warrior). The entry fee is $55 per person ($30 for anyone 18 years old or younger). Late fees will be applied starting May 7th. Fee includes race entry, tech shirt, goody bag, and entry into the luau for food and drinks. Participants are also asked to raise a minimum of $50 to support lifesaving cancer research.
