The Yankees manager played catcher for the Yankees, Cubs, Rockies and Cardinals from 1989 to 2003. He was the manager of the Florida Marlins and named the National League Manager of the Year in 2006.
As manager, he led the Yankees to their 40th AL pennant and their 27th World Series title in 2009.
