The story is about three strangers and the British concierge at their Atlanta high-rise, who meet and bond through weekly "Downtown Abbey" viewing parties.

The program will take place Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at The Drawing Room in Cos Cob. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Wax is a national bestselling author of women’s fiction, including "The House On Mermaid Point," "Ocean Beach" and "Ten Beach Road."

"I've enjoyed a lot of TV programs in my day, but 'Downtown Abbey' is the first one that inspired me to write a novel," said Wax.

The book has been back to press seven times, appeared on major retailer bestseller lists, and was nominated for eBook of the Year by U.K. e-retailer Sainsbury. She was honored by the City of St. Pete Beach, where she was born and raised, when the City Commission declared May 12, 2011, as “Wendy Wax Day.”
