GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Bruce Museum will sponsor a "First Sunday Bird Walk" as well as a fly-fishing seminar in Greenwich on Sunday, March 2.

The First Sunday Bird Walk will be held at Greenwich Point beginning at 9 a.m. near the main concession stand. Attendees will get to view birds in their local habitat along the two-mile walk.

The walk is free of charge. Binoculars are recommended.

In the afternoon, Jeff Yates, fly-fishing guide, author, and president of the Mianus Chapter of Trout Unlimited will present an indoor discussion designed for current fly anglers as well as beginners.

Yates will cover where to go, how to fish the tides, and tips and tactics that are best for local fishing. Weather permitting, Yates also will lead an outdoor tour of Greenwich Point to discuss the various locations to seek out striped bass with a fly rod as well as demonstrate casting, fly retrieval and other fly-fishing techniques.

The fly-fishing seminar will be held at the Seaside Center from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and is free of charge.
