ARTventure includes a scavenger hunt that incorporates science and art together throughout the Bruce Museum. The new program will begin on Sunday, Feb. 22, and run from 1 to 4 p.m.

“The idea behind ARTventure came about when we discovered that the animals in the paintings in Northern Baroque Splendor were also in our science department’s collection of animal specimens,” says Tara Contractor, the Samuel H. Kress Interpretive Fellow at the Bruce Museum. “Art and science both depend on observation, so we’re going to put the paintings and specimens side by side and get families to look for the fun details they might otherwise miss.”

ARTventures was originally designed to help residents explore and discover the connections between science and art.

The new program is offered free with a paid museum admission. All ages are welcomed to attend the event and no reservations are required to participate.

For more information and admission prices, visit the Bruce's website or call 203-869-0376. The museum is located at 1 Museum Drive in Greenwich.
