Greenwich Tree Conservancy Runs Awesome Photo Contest

GREENWICH, Conn. – As fall rolls in, the Greenwich Tree Conservancy is again overseeing the Awesome Tree Contest. The awards will be given at 3 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Garden Education Center on Bible Street in Cos Cob.

Photos may be taken with smartphones or cameras, and must be submitted no later than Oct. 20.

To submit an entry, fill out the form online at www.greenwichtreeconservancy.org, or fill out a form at one of the following sponsors’ locations: Town of Greenwich, Audubon Greenwich, Bruce Museum, Garden Education Center, Greenwich Green & Clean, Greenwich Land Trust, Greenwich Libraries and Perrot Library.

Prizes will be given in four categories, including “the best photo of a sculptural form, the best photo of photogenic leaves or a leaf, the best photo of a heroic tree (one that has survived storms, infestations, etc.) and also your favorite tale-inspired tree,” according to the Conservancy.
