Greenwich Teen Goes For Scholarship In Culinary Arts Competition

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich High School student Crystyle Davis hopes to strap on her apron and win big at Saturday's chef competition at the Culinary Arts Center in New Rochelle, N.Y.

Davis is one of 33 students (and the only one from Connecticut) competing as part of America's Best High School Chef Competition (ABHSC).

The prize? A a full academic scholarship for Monroe College's Culinary Arts program. 

This is the seventh year for Monroe College's AHBSC Competition. 

Last year's winner, Sophia Mendoza from Staten Island, N.Y., went on to win medals at American Culinary Federation competitions.
