Janis Jones is the magazine's choice for a reader that is “Fabulous at every age” and won for women in their 60’s, according to an announcement.

She is a Wall Street veteran, cancer survivor, mother and fiction writer.

Jones entered the reader challenge this spring via her Instagram account @originaltrophywife for the #FabAtEveryAgeContest with her post and photo that read:

"Why Am I Fabulous? Because I've learned that serious challenges and setbacks don't have to destroy beauty.

Five years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage III Triple-negative breast cancer. I was given only 50/50 odds of survival. Surgery altered my form. Radiation depleted my energy. Intense chemotherapy took my hair, my eyebrows and my eyelashes, twice.

I learned through this difficult process, one so many women have to go through, that a woman can emerge more beautiful than ever because she has learned how to flex her strength.

By being strong, a woman can inspire all those around her to be their most fabulous selves. Through our efforts together and the great work of my team of doctors and therapists at The Evelyn Lauder Breast Center at Memorial Sloan Kettering, I've come to know that even when life seems unbearably tough, your soul and body can still be amazing.

This year I turned 60...and to me that's simply fabulous! #fabateveryagecontest #fabateveryage #hapersbazaar #bcrf @esteelauder #fabateveryage @saks at fabateveryage.com #originaltrophywife @harpersBAZAARus."

Harper’s Bazaar's sixth annual Fabulous At Every Age Reader Search looks globally for women at every age who personify all things fabulous—think chic style, inspired beauty, and a passion for life, the release said.

The magazine's editors selected five finalists, each representing a decade ranging from 20s to 60-plus, to attend a VIP awards celebration in New York City. It is sponsored by Estee Lauder, in partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue and Theory, which is the exclusive partner that dressed the finalists at the Surrey Hotel in New York City.

Each of the winners have their photograph in the November Harper's Bazaar issue and received $5,000 each.

In addition to Jones, the Fabulous at Every Age winners are Dr. Pamela Rama-de Padua, 53; Ashley Maynard, 43; Camelia Lopez Shoemaker, 38; and Damisola Balogun, 20.

Jones’ photo spread includes her fashion and beauty inspirations.

"Since entering my 60’s, I have come to rely on accessories to keep my look updated and impactful. Minimalist dressing was fine when I was younger, but now I try to create a focal point to my dressing. I always add a dash of shine before I leave the house. I think accessories are a beacon for women in their 60’s," she says in the summary.

Jones splits her time between Greenwich and Palm Beach, Fla.

She uses the Instagram moniker @originaltrophywife as that is the title of her novel in progress, inspired by her fascinating life spent on the Formula One Grand Prix racing circuit during the late 1970’s.
