Greenwich Polo To Hold Match on Sept. 11

GREENWICH, Conn. — The Greenwich Polo Club will continue its Sunday Polo matches on Sept. 4, 11 and 17. In eight of the years since the 9/11 terror attacks in 2001, Cos Cob resident Erin O’Brien has led the polo players in Greenwich carrying “Old Glory.” “It brought tears to my eyes each time,” said O’Brien. “The public would come up to me and pet the horse and say, ‘thank you.’ … What a wonderful feeling and how I was privileged to do this.”
