A new Greenwich organization called Mothers for Others is sponsoring a month-long childrens donation drive for families in need.
During May, it will collect gently used baby gear, toys and childrens clothing. The items will be distributed to families in the greater Greenwich area on May 21.
The group was created to help families get rid of stuff they no longer want while helping other families obtain stuff they need but cant afford. The drive is being co-sponsored by Family Centers and Greenwich Social Services.
Donations may be dropped off at Second Congregational Church, 139 E. Putnam Ave. in Greenwich, beginning May 1. Mothers for Others will also pick up donations. For more information, or to arrange an appointment to have donations picked up, contact Karen Giannuzzi at (203) 253-2713.
