Greenwich Moms Collect Kids Items for the Needy

A new Greenwich organization called Mothers for Others is sponsoring a month-long children’s donation drive for families in need.

During May, it will collect gently used baby gear, toys and children’s clothing. The items will be distributed to families in the greater Greenwich area on May 21.

The group was created to help families get rid of “stuff” they no longer want while helping other families obtain “stuff” they need but can’t afford. The drive is being co-sponsored by Family Centers and Greenwich Social Services.

Donations may be dropped off at Second Congregational Church, 139 E. Putnam Ave. in Greenwich, beginning May 1. Mothers for Others will also pick up donations.  For more information, or to arrange an appointment to have donations picked up, contact Karen Giannuzzi at (203) 253-2713.

What kind of “stuff” do you have in your home that could be put to good use elsewhere?
