Greenwich Library Welcomes Renowned Author Judy Blume

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Judy Blume fans will be treated to an evening with the legendary author where she will discuss "In the Unlikely Event" on Tuesday, June 23 at the Greenwich Library.

Her new book and first novel in 17 years, "In the Unlikely Event" spans family, friendships, love and betrayal in its retelling of three real-life plan crashes which occurred in her hometown of Elizabeth, N.J. in 1951.

Blume has written books for young people including "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret," and other novels for adult readers including "Wifey," "Smart Women," and "Summer Sisters."

She will be interviewed by Stephanie Anderson, head of readers’ services at the Darien Library. Books will be available for purchase and signing following the program. 

The event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Cole Auditorium of the Greenwich Library located at 101 West Putnam Avenue. Tickets are sold out, but standby tickets may be available at the door beginning at 6 p.m.
