Lowe will talk about how the tried and true methods of getting into good schools may not work anymore, and elements like 'connections,' good SAT and ACT scores and a high GPA

The seminar will underline how admissions to Ivy League and other top schools aren't left to chance, what those top-flight schools are looking for and why 95 percent of students are rejected

The session is intended to be interactive, so questions are encouraged.

Lowe is the co-founder of Pinnacle Educational Center and Admissions Advisors' admissions expert.

Admission is $15 and must be paid in advance. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m.

The library is at 101 West Putnam Ave., and neither endorses or sponsors this event.
