Greenwich High School Students Fare Well In Social Studies Essay Contests

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich High School students again were well represented in annual local, state and national social studies essay contests, according to a press release.

In the Town of Greenwich's Affirmative Action Advisory Committee's Defining Diversity Contest, Jacob Stone placed second and Vijay Kadiyala and Madeleine Hitel earned honorable mention recognition.

In the Connecticut Foundation for Open Government contest, Alexis Tatore took first place, Bennett Brain took third and honorable mention was earned by Sarah Barnaby and Christopher Healy.

In the Civics First Constitution Day Essay Contest, Joseph Peters won first place, Alexandra Maloney earned second and Isabel Baird took third place.

In the nationwide John F. Kennedy Profiles in Courage Essay Contest, Pietro Picco and Sebastian Gomez del Campo both earned second-round honors from thousands of papers submitted.
