Greenwich Couple Marries on Empire State Building

GREENWICH, Conn. – Greenwich resident Paula Cubero and her husband Enrique Catter were among four couples who were married atop the Empire State Building on Tuesday for Valentine's Day.

The two won the “Wings of Love” contest sponsored by event planner Colin Cowie. Couples created two-minute videos on why they wanted to get married at the Manhattan landmark.

According to Colin Cowie’s website, Cubero and Catter originally planned to marry in Cubero’s native country of Mexico three years ago, but a swine flu epidemic canceled their plans. After hearing about the contest, Cubero and Catter made their video and won, beating out hundreds of other applicants.
