Greenwich Concert Series To Feature Billy And The Showmen

This 10-piece R&B band blends Motown and soul music performed by a rhythm section and driven by a horn section.

Based in Greenwich, the band has spent more than 40 years taking its show to New York City and throughout the Northeast.The band recently has backed up Billy Vera during his Live at Five performance in Stamford. During the 70s and 80s, the group served as the back-up band for The Chiffons.

Roger Sherman Baldwin Park is on Arch Street near the Teen Center and Island Beach Ferry Dock.

The show is part of the Department of Parks and Recreation’s Wednesday Night Concert Series and is sponsored by the Greenwich Police Silver Shield.
