Monette is a Cheerleading Worlds Competitor (the Olympics of Cheerleading). She started her career in Cheerleading on the Greenwich Youth League cheerleading team and later competed for Norwalk-based Xtreme Cheer.

Monette is pursuing her dreams of winning a first place title ring at the Worlds Competition this April by moving temporarily to Dallas to practice with Cheer Athletics gym. Cheer Athletics has won the more worlds titles than any gym in the nation.

She competes with her sister, Cameron, the team's lead flyer. They are training to compete the International All Girl Level 5 competition at the ESPN center in April in Orlando, Fla.

Monette is a member of the National Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars.
