Greenwich Astronomical Society Offering Night Of Stargazing

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Greenwich Land Trust and the Greenwich Astronomical Society is playing host to an evening of stargazing and s’mores.

The family-friendly event will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on May 17 at Fisher Field, located on the corner of Round Hill Road and Sabine Farm Road in Greenwich. Astronomer Rick Bria of the Greenwich Astronomical Society will guide the evening of stargazing using his high-powered telescopes once the sun sets.

The evening will also feature an owl release, a falconry presentation and a bonfire for s’mores.

Guests are reminded to wear warm layers and to bring a flashlight or two. The event will be cancelled in the event of rain.
