The event starts at 6:45 p.m., and there is a $10 suggested donation.
Green Drinks Greenwich is a monthly event for those interested in environment and sustainability, and Gibbons will talk about her work at Sweden's annual ICEHOTEL, which is built every year out of snow and ice just north of the Arctic Circle.
The Bruce Museum's Curator of Science, Daniel Ksepka, will introduce Gibbons.
"I loved snow storms as a child and couldn't wait to get out there and build something... anything. I have always loved going out for long distance walks on winter nights," Gibbons said.
That interest led her to study architecture at SUNY-Buffalo, while trying out for the first women's American Olympic luge team in 1976.
Gibbons insists each cold weather location and experience has increased her passion for ice and snow creations.
The Bruce Museum welcomes business cards, as anyone with a card can win a free family membership to the museum at the event.
