Get Dirty with 'Dirt!'

We walk all over it, children play in it and our animals roll around in it. Can you tell what it is? Well, if you guessed dirt, you're right. A new film, "DIRT! The Movie" explores how important the material is to life on our planet.

To celebrate the film, the Greenwich Audubon is hosting a reception, panel discussion and screening of the film at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14. Tickets are on sale online and are also available at the door.

The film directed and produced by Bill Beneson and Gene Rosow transports you deep inside the dynamics of soil. It tells the story of soil, how it changes and the economic impact it has on us. Narrated by Jamie Lee Curtis, the film brings to light how important dirt is and what we can do to preserve it.
