The idea for the three-in-one bottle came to the Wakemans as a result of inconvenience. Connor Wakeman is an avid tennis player while his father races cars.
The two realized the need for a multi-use bottle when they grew frustrated by having to carry separate bottles for water, sports drinks and protein shakes.
The proposed bottle has three separate 500ml compartments that allow any sports enthusiast to carry different drinks without the hassle of having to lug around three different bottles.
The bottle is made out of high quality polycarbonate plastic which is dishwasher safe and FDA approved. It also features measuring lines on the bottle for accurate mixing and tracking.
The Wakemans are looking to raise $5,000 to help defray the cost of creating the three molds required to create the bottle.
The Greenwich men opened a different kickstarter campaign with a higher goal, but were able to secure a new resourcing company that allowed them to cut production costs in half.
To date, the Wakemans have raised $119 as of Tuesday, March 4, and have until Saturday, March 22 to reach their goal.
Those that donate $17 or more to the cause will be given an ultimate sports bottle once production is under way.
