Fairfield's Kennedy Center Announces Third Annual Autism SpectRUN

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The Kennedy Center will host its third annual Autism SpectRUN on Sunday, Sept. 10, at Jennings Beach.

The annual fundraiser will feature a 5K timed race, a one-mile walk/stroll, parking lot zumba, a bounce house, face painting and more.

The 5K and stroll each begin at 9 a.m. at the South Benson Road beach. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. and closes at 8:45 a.m.

A free, noncompetitive children’s race steps off at 8:30 a.m.

Food trucks will be available and participants will receive snacks at the VIP tent after the race.

Prizes will be awarded for most colorful child, adult and team, most dollars raised and male and female champions, plus top finishers in eight age groups.

The participation fee is $30 for adults, $15 for children 18 and under. Children 5 and under are free.

Online registration is open until Sept. 9 at www.KC-Autism.org.
