Delegates Honor Greenwich Student For Essay On Autism Awareness Day

GREENWICH, Conn. – State Reps. Mike Bocchino and Fred Camillo and State Senator L. Scott Frantz -- all Greenwich Republicans -- awarded Wesley Elkind of Greenwich on Wednesday with a state citation at the State Capitol in honor of the essay contest he won through the Connecticut Autism Action Coalition.

Wesley was chosen to receive a $250 prize and have his work recognized on Autism Awareness Day.

Every year, autism organizations around the world celebrate Austin Awareness Day with fundraising and awareness-raising events. The eighth annual World Autism Awareness Day was April 2.
