Greenwich's Bruce Museum Gets $25,000 Grant From State

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Six Fairfield County groups were awarded grants by the Connecticut Office of the Arts to plan and implement art-based creative projects.

Danbury Music Centre has received a $23,000 grant from the Connecticut Office of the Arts.

The following is a list of the the groups that got grants and the amount received:

  • Danbury: Danbury Music Centre Inc., $23,000
  • Greenwich: The Bruce Museum, $25,000
  • New Canaan: Silvermine Guild of Artists Inc. $25,000
  • Norwalk: Norwalk 2.0, $25,000
  • Ridgefield: Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum Inc., $12,000
  • Stamford: Loft Artists Association, $5,625

A total of 12 panelists were selected, based on their professional credentials, to review proposals.

The Office of the Arts develops and strengthens the arts in Connecticut and makes artistic experiences widely available to residents and visitors. 

Through its grant programs, the office invests in Connecticut artists and arts organizations and encourages the public’s participation.
