Community Health Events At Greenwich Hospital Begin Tuesday

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich Hospital is offering special events on Tuesdays, March 10, 17, 24 and 31, which include music, meditation, blood pressure readings and more.

A nurse will be on site to take blood pressure readings and answer health questions from 10 a.m. to noon at the Greenwich Hospital Cafeteria Atrium. This event is free and sponsored by Community Health at Greenwich Hospital. For information, call (203) 863-4444.

Music and meditation will take place with music therapist Dr. Amy Zabin as she leads a journey into deep relaxation using crystal singing bowls, flute, guitar and guided imagery. The event will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. in the Greenwich Hospital chapel. Walk-ins are welcome and the event is free.

A Parkinson’s Support Group will be available, offering education, support, exercise, and social activities for people with Parkinson’s, their families and caregivers. Meetings are held from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center, 90 Harding Road in Old Greenwich. The free event is sponsored by Community Health at Greenwich Hospital. On March 10, Mixing Tai Chi and Qigong Movements will be led by Ken Dolan. On March 17, exercise with Miriam Shaw and a caregiver support meeting will take place. On March 24, exercise with Miriam Shaw and a caregiver support meeting will take place. On March 31, there will be no meeting.
