The 12:30-3:30 p.m. Oct. 13 event will celebrate the harvest season and feature crafts, a scavenger hunt in Bush-Holley House, music and free admission to the Storehouse Gallery exhibition "The New Spirit and The Cos Cob Art Colony."

General admission is $10 per person. No charge for children 2 and under.

The society also is bringing back its popular scarecrow competition. For a $25 entry fee ($20 for members), it’ll supply the armature (the bones), hay, twine and a burlap sack for the head. You customize and personalize your scarecrow’s look with clothing and “accessories” you bring from home.
