The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Milbank Greene Preserve, near 610 Round Hill Road. It encompasses a meadow and forest where The Greenwich Land Trust has been working to support native wildlife habitat.
Volunteers will help cut vines, remove invasive plants, and plant 100 native tree and shrub seedlings. There are also educational activities planned such as plant identification lessons and a wildlife release.
Lunch will be provided by Whole Foods Market Greenwich. Activities are suitable for all ages, but children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. In case of rain, the activities will be postponed until Sunday, April 26. The event is free.
