Camillo Talks Green to Save Owners Green

Attempts at making a house green can backfire and leave the owner paying double what was estimated. But state Rep. Alfred Camillo, R-151 District, is looking to provide some guidance. He has partnered with local home builder Peter Fusaro for a three-part lecture beginning Thursday on how to make your home green while saving you money.

Fusaro, a longtime Greenwich resident and owner of Preferred Builders Inc., contacted Camillo to support the lectures for Greenwich residents. Camillo, who serves on the legislature's Environment Committee, said in published reports, "They're going to see things and hear things from an expert on this. It won't just be reading it in an article or booklet. They're going to be able to see with their own eyes all the ways they can help themselves with just some simple steps."

The next lecture, titled "Air Leaks Waste Energy," will be held at the Greenwich Senior Center at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26. The final session, "Will Building Green Cost Me More" will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 2.
