GREENWICH, Conn. – The Authorslive@GreenwichLibrary season will begin Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. with Thomas Mallon in the Cole Auditorium.

Mallon will provide a reading and discussion of his new novel, “Finale: A Novel of the Reagan Years.” This work explores the tumultuous administration of the most consequential and enigmatic president of modern times. Major characters include real-life personalities writer Christopher Hitchens, English socialite Pamela Harriman and would-be presidential assassin John Hinckley Jr., along with fictional minor characters and a number of Hollywood stars.

Mallon is the author of nine novels including “Henry and Clara,” “Dewey Defeats Truman,” “Fellow Travelers” and “Watergate.” He is a frequent contributor to The New Yorker, The New York Times Book Review and The Atlantic. In 2011, he received the American Academy of Arts and Letters’ Harold D. Vursell Memorial Award for prose style. He has been the literary editor of GQ and the deputy chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Books will be available for purchase and signing through Diane’s Books. This series is open to all at no charge; doors open at 6:30 p.m.
