Party In The Stars With Adventure Park's Nighttime Fun

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Looking to take your Friday nights to new heights? Thanks to the Glow in the Park Climb at The Adventure Park at Discovery Museum, having a good time doesn't mean staying on the ground. The fun is up in the trees--in the zip lines and aerial trails.

Held every second Friday of the month, guest are able to traverse the park's treetop obstacle course and experience the park in a fun and unique setting. "We have extra LED changing color lights, laser lights, sequence lighting and all different colors in the park," said business operations manager, Karen O'Halloran. "We have music, and each participant receives glow attire, such as an LED necklace for even more of an experience." For instance, this 4th of July, guests received light up red, white and blue wigs to wear as they swung from the trees.

The Glow Climb was introduced to the Bridgeport park two years ago and has quickly developed a following.

O'Halloran has noticed the climbs have become a hit with teenagers and young adults looking for a new way to spend their Friday evenings. "It's an awesome idea for a date night, as opposed to the the traditional movies or bowling," she said.

The park has an an on site store with snacks and cold drinks open late and outside foods and drinks are welcome as well. Not looking to climb, but want to spend the night watching? Non-climbers are able to watch, free of charge.

Glow in the Park Climb is held every second Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.and costs $39 per person, open to ages 5 and up. Guests are allowed three hours of climb time, plus an additional 30 minutes for harnessing and safety briefing.
