Parade Steps Off In Celebration Of Greenwich's 375th Anniversary

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The town will continue its yearlong 375th anniversary celebration Sunday with a parade featuring more than 300 marchers, officials said.

A parade is set to kick off from the steps of Town Hall in Greenwich at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The parade, set to begin at 2 p.m. at the steps of Town Hall, will move up to and along the Post Road to Greenwich Avenue before stopping for a flag ceremony at Havemeyer Field.

Among those expected to march are descendants of the town's founding families, representatives of several town organizations and a number of nonprofit agencies and community groups.

The parade also will feature floats, antique cars, vintage and modern fire trucks and the Wells Fargo carriage and horses.
