ONS Surgeons Discuss Teen Performance Enhancing Substance Use

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Parents won’t want to miss this important discussion about school sports injury prevention and management, and the rise in student use of performance enhancing substances to gain a competitive edge.

ONS sports medicine specialists and orthopedic surgeons Dr. Paul Sethi, and Dr. Katherine Vadasdi will discuss strategies to help teen athletes avoid recurrent injuries, and they will provide tips to help recognize teen substance use and outline the long term consequences that human growth hormone, steroids and over the counter supplements can have on a young, developing body. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
