The exhibit highlights four commissions for mosaics Hofmann either received or considered during the ‘50s, two of which were executed and are still intact in Manhattan, according to the New York Times.
“Walls of Color: The Murals of Hans Hofmann” is on view through Sept. 6. at the Bruce Museum of Arts and Science, 1 Museum Drive, Greenwich. The museum is open from Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and students with valid ID; admission is free for museum members and children under 5 years old. Free individual admission is on Tuesdays.
