The Lebanese restaurant, which opened in Westport in August, received a "Good" overall rating from The New York Times reviewer Patricia Brooks. In the review, Brooks praised the casual, clean atmosphere and quick, simple dishes for lunch and dinner.

"This modest Lebanese place, more of a cafe than a restaurant, fills a need for falafel, hummus, kibbe (the ground meat and bulgur wheat patty from which the cafe derives its name), kebabs and other Mediterranean and Middle Eastern favorites — all while keeping prices low enough to entice families on a budget," Brooks said in the review.

"There is nothing fancy about Kibberia. It has a casual, crisply clean and functional interior, with comfortable booths and plain tables, vibrant lime green and saffron-painted walls, and lime and orange chairs. There is usually live music on Saturday evenings, and sometimes a belly dancer performs."
