The cacao-centric package is being offered at a 30 percent discount on March 8 and April 12. The chocolate experience comes from the hotel’s executive chef Francois Kwaku-Dongo, who grew up on his grandparents’ cacao farm in the West African nation of Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and was a founder of the world’s first country-of-origin chocolate manufacturer, the globally acclaimed Omanhene in Ghana, for which he serves as director of culinary services, representatives said.

"The Getaway takes advantage of the state-of the art facilities of the hotel’s Chocolate Lab, where the cacao bean to chocolate comestible journey is explored daily with the hand fashioning of small batch, innovative creations," representatives said. "One highlight of the Chocoholics’ Getaway is a class in the art of chocolate truffle making with Chef Kwaku-Dongo in The Chocolate Lab, an edu-taining and palate indulgent experience made even more memorable by the Champagne service throughout the two-and-a-half-hour session."

The Chocoholics’ Getaway at The JHouse Greenwich is priced from $349 double occupancy. It includes overnight stay, hot chocolate, in-room treats, truffle making class, souvenir chocolate and assorted goods.

The JHouse Greenwich is at 1114 E. Putnam Ave. in Riverside. For more information, call 877-468-6800 or visit The JHouse Greenwich website.
