Ticket information was also released with general admission entry costing $50, up from $40 last year. Senior tickets (age 65 and up) will cost $20, while children 12 and under will be free with families who purchased tickets.
Greenwich Town Party tickets go on sale April 8.
There will also be a limited number of pre-sale tickets going on sale on Friday, which cost $400 each. Those people who purchase the pre-sale tickets will receive Town Party merchandise and the extra money spent on the ticket will go toward making general admission entry available to more people.
James Taylor, famous for songs such as "Fire and Rain" and "Carolina on my Mind," follows other A-list acts at the Town Party after Buddy Guy in 2011 and Paul Simon in 2012. Dave Matthews also made a surprised appearance with Simon at last year's event.
Other acts will include Grammy winner Blue Traveler, known for their 1994 hit "Run Around." The group's lead singer John Popper grew up in Stamford.
In addition, the main stage will also feature Michael Franti and Spearhead, Trombone Shorty and New Orleans Avenue, Caroline Jones and the Harlem Gospel Choir.
For the first time, the Greenwich Town Party will also feature a free "satellite" location that will feature local bands.
