Greenwich's Family Centers To Auction 'Gatsby'-Style Car

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Want to go in style to see the new film version of "The Great Gatsby" that opens Friday? How about arriving in a Gatsby-style 1951 MG-TD Convertible?

Family Centers is raffling off a "Great Gatsby"-style 1951 MG-TD Convertible.

Family Centers is raffling off the dapper car as part of its "Gatsby on the Sound" benefit to be held May 31. The winner of the car will be announced at the event.

The car is currently on a tour of the town. It will be on display at Ralph Lauren on Greenwich Avenue on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and at Richards, also on Greenwich Avenue, on May 17 and 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

The car was donated by the late Stig Host of Greenwich, a longtime supporter of Family Centers and its work in the community.

Raffle tickets are $100 each and can be purchased by contacting Aleksa Lazarewicz at alazarewicz@familycenters.org or 203-869-4848.

All proceeds benefit Family Centers of Greenwich.

"The Great Gatsby" film, directed by Baz Luhrmann, stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carrie Mulligan.
