Greenwich Wins 'Best Of' For Food, Style

Chef and owner Debbie Ponzek of Greenwich's Aux Delices was named best pastry chef by Connecticut Magazine.

GREENWICH, Conn. – Greenwich is tops in the state when it comes to pastries and shopping, according to Connecticut Magazine's just released Best of Connecticut 2012 list

Chef and owner Debbie Ponzek of Aux Delices was picked best pastry chef, and the shop itself was named "best muffins" in the magazine's food-and-drink category. Greenwich's Rebecca's was chosen best restaurant at which to splurge on dinner. In the nightlife category, Greenwich's brand new The J House won best hotel bar. 

Several Greenwich shops ranked in the style category, including Shoes N' More (boutique shoes), Vineyard Vines (men's ties) and Tahiti Street (swimsuits). Greenwich Avenue, which the magazine called "Connecticut's prime shopping mecca," was chosen best place for splurge shopping.
