Greenwich Town Party Will Expand Again Next Year

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Greenwich Board of Selectmen has approved plans to expand the Greenwich Town Party again, this time to Havemeyer Field off Greenwich Avenue for 2014, according to the Greenwich Post.

Town Party officials also plan to expand the event to 10,000 tickets, up from 5,000 this year, the report said.

The Greenwich Town Party had its most successful year yet in 2013, despite cold temperatures for Memorial Day weekend and a driving mist.

The only hitch in this year's festivities was the cancellation of the free satellite extension of the party due to rainy weather.

The 2014 Greenwich Town Party is scheduled for May 24.
