"The new name is significant because the mission of the Center for Behavioral and Nutritional Health extends beyond the scope of weight and diabetes management," said Greenwich Hospital President Norman Roth. "The name reflects the full array of services that we have been providing for a long time to keep people healthy."
Center Manager Joshua Hrabosky said, "We work with patients and primary and specialized healthcare professionals to promote the psychological, behavioral and nutritional changes needed to manage and reduce the risk of complications associated with medical conditions."
The center's services include
- behavioral therapy to address the psychological, emotional and behavioral symptoms that contribute to illness;
- nutritional counseling to prevent or treat medical problems;
- weight management; and
- diabetes education and management.
CBNH staff will continue collaborating with Greenwich Hospital’s bariatric surgery team.
"Our highly personalized approach features individualized treatment based on each person’s specific needs," Hrabosky said. "Treatment is provided by in a safe, supportive and medically sound environment."
