“I’ve been a regular Méli-Mélo customer for as long as I can remember,” McKittrick, a Greenwich native who is building her digital magazine and brand, The Greenwich Girl, said in a press release. "The [Méli-Mélo] juice bar is truly a town gem and time saver.”

Another juice bar regular is restaurant owner Marc Penvenne, who established Méli-Mélo with his wife in 1993. Penvenne said he maintains his health and energy by juicing.

“We make everything here fresh, it’s the best on Greenwich Avenue” Penvenne said in a press release. "In addition to our one-, two- or three-day cleanse, we have wheat grass and turmeric shots and drinks that we call ‘healing helpers’ and ‘super smoothies.’ ”

Penvenne said the idea to collaborate and create the detox drink happened organically.

"We recently created ‘The Greenwich Girl’ drink with Laura’s favorite fruit -- raspberries -- along with ingredients we know help jump-start the body. We used mango, freshly squeezed orange juice, kale, ginger root, coconut water and freshly squeezed lemon juice,” Penvenne said in a press release.
