Greenwich Eateries Dish Up 'Sweet' Menus For Valentine's Day

FAIRFIELD COUNTY. Conn. -- Have you made your Valentine's Day dinner plans yet? There's still time, as a host of venues are offering specials for the entire weekend, starting, in some cases, on Friday, Feb. 12. A sampling is listed below though feel free to write in with some of your favorite hot spots.

Basso: A special prix fixe menu is being offered Sunday, Feb. 14 starting at 5 p.m. featuring Salmon and Caviar Cornets, Gnocchi al Tartufo, Beef Wellington, and a Chocolate Mousse Caramel Croccante for $160 per couple, not including tax, service or wines. Bistro V: There are specials galore on the menu at Bistro V throughout the weekend including a lovely Valentine's dessert of champagne and raspberry Bavarois Crunchy Almond nougatine, Valrhona chocolate coulis and raspberry sorbet. J. House: A three-course $75 per person Valentine’s meal will be offered Saturday, Feb. 13 and Sunday, Feb. 14 along with a complimentary Prosecco toast. On Sunday, enjoy a "Lovebirds Brunch" from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and say cheers to bottomless Bloodies and Bellinis, plus free pancakes for kids under 10. The two course menu is$40 per person. Grow: Reservations are filling fast for Valentine's special dinner at Grow. The menu is posted on the restaurant's Facebook page and is being offered from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 14. Paloma: A $75 per person menu is part of the offerings on Saturday, Feb. 13 and Sunday, Feb. 14 (add wine pairings for $30 more per person). The regular menu will also be served as will a Sunday brunch with bottomless Bloody Marys and mimosas for $20 per person. Sign of the Whale: On Friday, Feb. 13, the band Screaming Broccoli will perform and on Sunday, brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., also with music and complimentary dessert.
