Greenwich 'Dishcrawl' Finds A Hungry Audience

GREENWICH, Conn. -- You may have tried drinking your way through a pub crawl in college, but Greenwich food enthusiasts are invited to eat their way through a "Dishcrawl" this June.

An upcoming Dishcrawl - a pub crawl but with food - was oversubscribed, prompting the addition of a second event next month.

Dishcrawl is a company that invites neighborhoods to eat their way through local restaurants.

The online company came to Greenwich in early April and launched Dishcrawl Greenwich. It was originally planned as a one-night event in downtown Greenwich on May 7, but it sold out so fast that a second night was added, also in downtown Greenwich, on May 8. And even that was oversubscribed within five days, prompting the company to launch a second Dishcrawl event in town.

This time foodies are invited to "crawl" through gourmet offerings in Old Greenwich on June 11.

Reservations are $45 per person and limited tickets remain. They can be purchased on the Old Greenwich Dishcrawl website.

“The response from the local community has been unbelievable,” Greenwich Dishcrawl Coordinator Jesse Leeds-Grant in a statement. “Greenwich Dishcrawl has been embraced with open arms since day one, and our new event will be a magical experience for foodies alike”.

Participating restaurants are kept secret until two days before the event, at which time the first location is revealed to ticket holders.
