Greenwich Comes Out To Party With Doobie Brothers, Earth Wind & Fire

GREENWICH, Conn. - The town of Greenwich held its annual Town Party on Saturday at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park, with over 8,000 people turning out to enjoy a beautiful spring day and a full lineup of music.

The event included a number of local bands and nationally recognized musical acts, as well as children's activities and food vendors from the area.

Headliners included Earth Wind & Fire, the Doobie Brothers, O.A.R., The Spirit Family Reunion, Billy and the Showman, and Caroline Jones.

Area bands appearing on the town stage included Stowaway, Brunswick Music Improv, the Al Dimarco Swing Band, Kings Highway, Skunk Rockets, and Lions on the Moon.

The event is open to Greenwich residents, business owners and employees. In the last five years, it has grown into one of the town's largest events.

The photo gallery here features some of the bands appearing at the Greenwich Town Party, including Earth, Wind & Fire, The Doobie Brothers and A.O.R., as well as Greenwich bands The Skunk Rockets and the young band Lions on the Moon, featuring 12-year-old lead guitar sensation Brandon "Taz" Niederauer.
