Find Easter Egg Hunts In & Around Greenwich

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Are you looking for a hunt? An Easter Egg Hunt? Look no further, here are some of the egg hunts that are being put on by towns, churches and organizations in Fairfield County.

Saturday, March 30 The Great Egg Hunt and Spring Celebration: Times Vary. Kids will learn about eggs, meet baby chicks and participate in an egg hunt (eggs will contain sweets and prizes). Also on hand will be Hop-Along-Hollow, with numerous live bunnies for the kids to learn about and enjoy.  $10 for members, $15 for non-members and reservations are required. Age 2-10 only. New Canaan Nature Center, 144 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan.

Easter Egg Roll: 10 to 11 a.m. Bring your own hard-boiled eggs for dyeing first. Then enter your favorite egg in the egg rolling contest (called by ages). Meet the Easter Bunny. Visit Belle, our real rabbit. Crafts. Dance the bunny hop. This event takes place indoors in case of rain. Pequot Library, 720 Pequot Avenue, Southport.

Annual Heckscher Farm Egg Hunt: 10 a.m. to noon. Kids 6 and under are invited to join this annual egg hunt.  At the conclusion of the hunt, eggs may be turned in for a goody bag.  The event is free for members of the Stamford Nature Museum or included in the guest entrance fee for non-members. Stamford Nature Museum, 39 Scofieldtown Road, Stamford.

RCA Easter Egg-Stravaganza: 10 a.m. Head to Rowayton with kids of all ages for this RCA Egg Hunt.  Parents are asked to drop off six plastic eggs filled with snacks, toys or candy for each participating child the night before the hunt. Rowayton Community Center, 33 Highland Ave.  Norwalk.

Visit with the Easter Bunny: 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Take a ride to visit the Easter Bunny at the Danbury Rail Museum. The Easter Bunny will be at the Rail Museum on March 29 and 30.  Trains will depart every 30 minutes and tickets are $9 each (children under 2 ride for free). Danbury Railway Museum, 120 White St., Danbury.

62nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt: 2 p.m. The Greens Farms Volunteer Fire Company will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt on at Long Lots School. Children will hunt for the eggs in age groups through age ten.  Children finding special marked eggs will receive Easter baskets.  The Easter bunny will be there to meet and greet the children. Long Lots School, 13 Hyde Lane, Westport.

Easter Egg Dyeing and Family Scavenger Hunt: 10 a.m. to noon. Bring your own hardboiled eggs, and the dyeing supplies will be provided.  Admission is free, but call ahead to reserve space.  First Congregational Church of Greenwich, 108 Sound Beach Ave., Old Greenwich.

Sunday, March 31 Annual Egg-stravangaza:  10 to 11:30 a.m.  or 1 to 2:30 p.m.  Family fun crafts, an egg hunt, small animals and a visit from the Easter Bunny himself can all be enjoyed on March 31.  Member fees are $10/child, $5/adult and non-member fees are $15/child, $10/adult.  Children under 2 are admitted free, and advanced reservations are required. Ideal for children 8 and under. CT Audubon Society, 2325 Burr St., Fairfield.
