Come With Me Or Go Alone: Jerry Garcia In Music, Art in Fairfield County

There’s a whole generation out there that fondly remembers touring along with the Grateful Dead. Alas, with Jerry Garcia’s death in 1995, the Dead, as they had been known and loved, were no more, but the spirit continues in the remaining members’ projects and in the many tribute bands that crisscross Fairfield County.

That’s not a Cadillac, but it is a Deadhead sticker. Grateful Dead fans are easy to spot if you look for the dancing bear and they will have several events to choose from in the coming week.

This Friday, April 20, at 8 p.m. the freshly refurbished Wall Street Theater at 71 Wall Street in Norwalk, is hosting The Garcia Project. This band takes one specific show of the Jerry Garcia Band anywhere from 1976 to 1995 and recreates it, song by song.
