OLD GREENWICH, Conn. -- The M3 Megaformer exercise machine might be the Holy Grail of pilates, say the people who have tried it. Luckily for locals, classes are offered at Catwalk Fitness in Old Greenwich.
It helped Megan Sullivan get into the "best shape of my life" after having a baby, she said.
Sullivan is spreading the word about the exercise classes offered by Cathy Wagner at her studio, including the Megaformer Celebrity Workout and Regular Megaformer classes.
A lifelong fitness buff, Sullivan said she the celebrity workout helped her become fitter than ever.
"I played college sports and always worked out. I did cross training and tried different workouts. The Pilates classes on the Megaformer really made the difference after I had a baby. I am in my best shape," Sullivan said.
Wagner's business offered private and group classes.
She teaches the newest Sebastian Lagrees method, which blends strength, cardio, endurance, balance, core, and flexibility training in 50-minute classes.
It is "intense on the muscles, but low impact and safe on the joints. This class is guaranteed to get your body in the best shape ever in a very short time," Wagner told Daily Voice.
"Clients feel the tightening even after the very first class. Imagine placing a corset around your waistline. That's what you will feel. Working every part of the body, this (class) will work your abs, butt, arms, legs, and obliques, all accompanied by energetic, fun music."
Wagner also has a background in dance, gymnastics, and pole dancing, which she taught on Long Island, according to her company's website.
