What Makes It Sporty: This Irish Bar & Grill, in operation since 2010, it's known as a great neighborhood pub. Aside from its eight taps (with seasonal rotations), and 30-plus bottles and cans, it's big on showcasing games be it the Sunday ticket, Baseball Package, NFL Network, EPL Live Games, etc. There are eight large, flat-screen TV’s meaning everyone has a great view.
Once you start drinking, you may wonder what a "shebeen" is. It's the Gaelic name for an informal gathering place for friends, a speakeasy sort of place where locals talk about sports, politics, and everything that’s going on. Brennan's has both.
Game On: 2652 Fairfield Ave., 203-870-9981, www.brennansshebeen.com/
