Brunswick Baseball Wins League Title

GREENWICH, Conn. — The Brunswick baseball team exploded for seven runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back en route to its first Fairchester Athletic Association championship since 2009. The Bruins mauled top-seeded Hopkins of New Haven, 10-5, in a stunning victory.

Brunswick lit up Hopkins ace Jack Lubin, sending 12 batters to the plate in the first inning. Lubin had a perfect 6-0 record until the championship game, knocking him out after just two-thirds of an inning.
