Global Works Teen Trips Abroad Info Meeting: 7 to 8 p.m. An informational meeting about Global Works' summer community service trips abroad for teens. YMCA of Greenwich, 50 E. Putnam Ave. Free.

Tuesday, Jan. 8

OverDrive 2 p.m. Learn to download eBooks on the Nook, Kindle or other eReaders. Bring your own eReader or practice with one owned by the library. Free. Main branch of the Greenwich Library, 101 W. Putnam Ave.

Wednesday, Jan. 9

Tactical Home Defense Seminar: 7 to 9 p.m. Greenwich Dark House LLC, a property management company owned and operated by off-duty police officers, is hosting a seminar on how to defend your home from burglars. The seminar will be taught by CJ Girard, a police firearms, tactical and SWAT instructor, and Jeff Morris, a U.S. Marine Corps martial arts instructor. The cost is $75. JHouse Greenwich, 1114 E. Thursday, Jan. 10

Over 40 Females Celebrates Famous Females in Finance: 5 to 7 p.m. Over 40 Females, a leading networking platform for women older than 40, will celebrate Fabulous Females in Finance.
