Monday, Dec. 17
Blood-Pressure Screening 11:30 a.m. A registered nurse will be on hand at the Greenwich Public Library for free blood-pressure screenings. 101 West Putnam Ave.
Tuesday, Dec. 18
FEMA Briefing 7 p.m. The Town of Greenwich is hosting FEMA’s informational briefing in the Town Hall meeting room for residents affected by Hurricane Sandy. Many town organizations will be on hand to answer questions. Free. 101 Field Point Road.
Wednesday, Dec. 19
R.E.A.D. To A Dog 3 p.m.-4 p.m. The Byram-Schubert Library will host a program that brings trained dogs to hospitals, schools and libraries. Choose a book and get introduced to a dog and its owner, then practice or show off your reading skills. The dogs are great listeners and appreciate storytelling. Free. 21 Mead Ave.
Thursday, Dec. 20
Welcome Home Soldiers, Presented By Greenwich Military Covenant of Care 6 p.m.-6:45 p.m. The Greenwich Police Department will welcome home four Greenwich servicemen who have recently returned home from Afghanistan and other combat areas. All are Greenwich High School graduates. Free. 11 Bruce Place.
Greenwich Board Of Education Meeting 7 p.m. The board will make final deliberations and vote on the proposed budget for the 2013-14 school year. Free. Greenwich High School, 10 Hillside Road.
